Five simple but precise steps to the perfect driveway…
Installing a new resin bound driveway only has five simple steps but they each must be completed in exactly the right way to make sure the finished result stands the test of time.
1.
Consultation Survey
What you will use the resin bound surface for i.e. parking, walking, outdoor dining etc ?
What will be going on the surface i.e. Big vehicle, small vehicle, BBQ, garden furniture, children's activity centre etc ?
What condition is the original driveway or surface in at the moment i.e. solid, unstable, slanting, bad drainage etc ?
What material is your current drive made from i.e. concrete, tarmac, soil, tiled etc ?
What colour or type of material you require ?
Any special requirements i.e. wheel chair access, steep slopes, risk of falling etc ?
These may seem like small issues but we take great pride in getting it just right and this information is vital so that we can ensure you are more than happy with the end result.
We will discuss the project in full and let you exactly what you can expect from us at each step.

There is an old saying which goes “Measure twice, cut once” and we believe in that principle. After your order is placed we will send our technical surveyor to re-check all the details and confirm them with you once again.
He will then produce a detailed technical survey which will form the basis of our plan for your project. Everyone works from the same plan so there is little chance of errors.
Our installation department will liaise with you to find the best day to start the work. Some of this work is weather dependant so we ask for your understanding if “rain stops play” for a while.
3.
Consultation Survey
Some driveways are in great structural condition while others are in serious need of work. We cannot lay resin surfacing on an unstable base, as it will crack or come loose, so we will make good or replace any inadequate surfacing prior to installation.
Some driveways have a structurally sound base but the surface or top layer looks terrible. If this is the case, we can carefully remove or repair this surface, ready to take the RockPave resin surfacing.
Sometimes we are creating a driveway from base soil or grassland in which case we need to construct a suitable surface to build on.
Once the surface is solid enough to take the new driveway we will clean and prime it with our surface preparation primer ready to take the resin.
4.
Installation
Once the sub base and surface is ready to accept the driveway, we will lay the resin surfacing by hand. This is done by skilled craftsmen and is vital to the quality of the finished result. We use experienced installers every step of the way and they take great pride in the end result.
Our team will let you know how soon you can use your new driveway and you will love your homes new look.
5.
Cleaning and finishing
Once the surface is cured, we will thoroughly clean it and remove all our materials and tools from site.
We will even leave you with a basic after care kit and guide to making the best of your new driveway. By following our basic care guide your new driveway will stay looking new for years to come.
We take care with your installation so you can take pride in the end result.
